How to do seated leg press calf raise

Coach's Tips

Start Position

1. Sit on the leg press machine, ensuring the backrest comfortably supports your lower back.

2. Position your feet on the platform slightly wider than shoulder-width apart.

3. Rest your hands on either side of the machine for stability.

Proper Form

1. Gradually push the platform away with your feet, straightening your legs.

2. Lift your heels off the platform as much as possible once your legs are extended.

3. Pause momentarily, then lower your heels back to the platform.

4. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

Breathing Technique

1. Inhale as you push the platform away and exhale as you lift your heels.

2. Hold your breath at the top, then exhale slowly while lowering your heels.

Precautions

1. Keep your head and back against the backrest throughout the exercise.

2. Avoid locking your knees while extending your legs.

3. Use a manageable weight to prevent injury.
