How to do bent over cable lateral raise

Coach's Tips

Push your elbows outward so they point towards the ceiling!

Start Position

1. Position yourself facing away from a cable machine, ensuring the cable is at shoulder level.

2. Grasp the cable handle with both hands, maintaining a slight bend in your elbows.

3. Lean forward until your torso is angled at 45 degrees relative to the floor.

4. Engage your core and keep your back straight throughout the exercise.

Proper Form

1. Extend your arms to lift the cable sideways until they are parallel to the ground.

2. Pause briefly, then gradually lower the cable to the initial position.

3. Continue for the desired number of repetitions.

Breathing Technique

1. Breathe in while you bring the cable back to the starting position.

2. Breathe out as you lift the cable to the side.

Precautions

1. Refrain from swinging your arms or using momentum to lift the cable.

2. Ensure that your back stays flat during the exercise.

3. Discontinue if you feel any pain or discomfort.
