Coach's Tips

Start Position

1. Ensure your back remains straight and engage your abdominal muscles throughout.

2. Avoid letting your knee extend beyond your toes.

3. Move at a comfortable pace and only lower yourself as much as your form allows.

Proper Form

1. Step forward with your right foot.

2. Bend your right knee to lower yourself towards the floor.

3. Keep your left leg straight with your left foot securely on the ground.

4. Push off with your right foot, moving your left foot forward to join your right.

5. Repeat the motion with your left foot leading.

Breathing Technique

1. Breathe out as you lower your body by bending your knee.

2. Inhale as you push off your foot and step forward with your left foot.

Precautions

1. Stand with feet aligned with your hips and arms at your sides.

2. Take several deep breaths to relax your body.
