How to do single arm face pull

Coach's Tips

Start Position

1. Position yourself in front of a cable machine with feet shoulder-width apart.

2. Grip the handle with one hand and step back, keeping the arm straight.

3. Use your other hand to hold the machine for support.

4. Ensure your feet, hips, and torso form a straight alignment.

5. Align your arm with your shoulder, maintaining a slight bend in the elbow.

Proper Form

1. Pull the handle towards your face, maintaining alignment of arm and torso.

2. Pinch your shoulder blades together at the peak of the motion.

3. Gently return to the initial position and repeat.

Breathing Technique

1. Exhale as you draw the handle towards your face.

2. Inhale as you return to the starting stance.

Precautions

1. Keep torso and arm aligned throughout the exercise.

2. Avoid raising your shoulder towards your ear.

3. Prevent swinging the arm or body to gain momentum.

4. Engage your core and avoid arching your back.
