How to do cable rope tricep extension

Coach's Tips

Use a rope to effectively target your triceps by keeping your arms close to your body.

Start Position

1. Keep your upper arms stationary throughout the entire exercise.

2. Avoid locking your elbows at the top of the motion.

3. Maintain a straight back and avoid leaning back or arching.

Proper Form

1. While keeping your upper arms stable, push your hands down by extending your arms.

2. Focus on the triceps contraction at the top of the extension.

3. Return to the initial position and repeat the movement.

Breathing Technique

1. Breathe in as you bend your elbows to lower the weight.

2. Breathe out as you press the weight away from your body.

Precautions

1. Stand facing a cable machine with the rope attachment.

2. Hold the rope with an overhand grip, keeping your arms bent at a 90-degree angle.
