How to do band triceps pushdown

Coach's Tips

Pull the band downward by pushing your arms.

Start Position

1. Avoid using momentum when pushing the bar down.

2. Keep your elbows slightly bent at the bottom instead of fully extending.

3. Maintain a straight back and stable shoulders.

Proper Form

1. With your elbows tucked by your sides, press the bar downward until your arms are straight.

2. Keep your shoulders relaxed and your core stable during the entire exercise.

3. Gradually return to the initial position.

Breathing Technique

1. Breathe out as you push the bar downward.

2. Breathe in as you move back to the starting stance.

Precautions

1. Position yourself ahead of a cable machine with a straight bar handle.

2. Hold the bar with an overhand grip, a bit wider than shoulder-width.

3. Bend your elbows to form a 90-degree angle, keeping them close to your torso.

4. Ensure your back remains straight and your core is engaged.
