Coach's Tips

Start Position

1. Position your feet slightly more than shoulder-width apart with toes pointing slightly outward.

2. Position the barbell on your shoulders and upper back, just beneath your neck.

3. Maintain an upright chest, retracted shoulders, and a straight spine.

4. Inhale deeply and engage your core muscles.

Proper Form

1. Initiate the movement by shifting your hips backward while maintaining an upright chest and straight spine.

2. Lower your body until your thighs are parallel to the floor.

3. Push through your heels to return to the initial position.

Breathing Technique

1. Breathe in before starting the movement.

2. Breathe out as you press through your heels to return to the original position.

Precautions

1. Ensure your weight is on your heels during the movement.

2. Keep your chest lifted and spine straight to prevent back rounding.

3. Align your knees with your toes.

4. Cease the exercise if you experience any pain or discomfort.
