The dumbbell pullover is an effective exercise for enhancing the upper body's overall strength by targeting the chest, lats, and triceps.
1. Lie flat on a bench with your feet firmly planted on the floor, holding a dumbbell with both hands above your chest.
2. Ensure your shoulder blades are pressed against the bench, and your arms are extended.
1. With your arms straight, gradually lower the dumbbell behind your head until it is close to the ground.
2. Then, engage your lats and triceps to pull the dumbbell back to the initial position.
1. Inhale deeply as you lower the dumbbell.
2. Exhale as you lift the dumbbell back to the starting position.
1. Keep your back pressed against the bench and maintain straight arms throughout the exercise.
2. Avoid arching your lower back or allowing your elbows to splay out.
3. Choose a weight that you can manage safely without compromising form.
