How to do arnold press

Coach's Tips

This exercise, inspired by Arnold Schwarzenegger, is great for developing comprehensive shoulder strength!

Start Position

1. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, holding dumbbells in front of your shoulders with palms facing each other.

2. Ensure your core is tight and your back is straight.

3. Elbows should remain slightly bent and directed forward.

Proper Form

1. Carefully press the dumbbells overhead, extending your arms straight.

2. Rotate your arms so palms face outward at the peak of the movement.

3. Gently lower the dumbbells back to the initial position, maintaining control.

Breathing Technique

1. Breathe in as you lower the dumbbells, and breathe out as you push them upward.

Precautions

1. Avoid locking elbows at the top of the lift.

2. Keep your lower back from arching.

3. Prevent the dumbbells from moving too far forward.
