How to do dumbbell cross lunge

Coach's Tips

Perform a lunge with a cross-over motion while holding dumbbells.

Start Position

1. Start by standing with your feet at hip-width apart, each hand holding a dumbbell.

2. Position your hands in front of your chest with palms facing towards each other.

Proper Form

1. Step forward with your right foot and bend both knees lowering your body until your left knee is almost on the ground.

2. Push yourself back to the initial position and then switch legs, stepping forward with the left.

Breathing Technique

1. Inhale as you lower your body and exhale as you return to the starting position.

Precautions

1. Maintain an upright chest and engage your core muscles throughout the exercise.

2. Ensure the front knee forms a 90-degree angle and the back knee is slightly above the floor.

3. Conduct movements slowly and with control.
