How to do lying back extension

Coach's Tips

Perform this exercise while lying flat on the ground. It's an excellent workout to enhance your back muscle strength. It can be done anytime, anywhere, making it ideal for your back!

Start Position

1. Lie on your back on a flat surface or bench. Position your hands at your sides with your palms facing down.

2. Keep your legs straight and together, ensuring your feet remain flat on the floor.

3. Slightly lift your chin and gaze directly at the ceiling.

Proper Form

1. With legs straight, raise your feet off the ground and elevate your hips as much as you can.

2. Pause for a few seconds, then gently bring your hips back to the start.

3. Continue the motion for the desired repetition count.

Breathing Technique

1. Breathe in as you lower your hips back to the starting point.

2. Breathe out when raising your hips upwards.

Precautions

1. Maintain a flat back and engage your core consistently during the exercise.

2. Avoid arching your lower back or lifting your head off the surface.

3. Do not lock your knees; keep a slight bend throughout the movement.
