How to do band assisted pull up

Coach's Tips

Begin by placing the band on your foot, then gradually move it up to your knees to increase the challenge. Ensure not to speed through this process!

Start Position

1. Position yourself directly below a pull-up bar and rest one foot on the band.

2. Hold the bar using an overhand grip, slightly wider than shoulder-width.

3. Bend your knees and keep your feet together, ensuring the band is taut.

Proper Form

1. Raise your body until your chin is above the bar.

2. Gently lower yourself back to the starting position.

Breathing Technique

1. Breathe in as you elevate yourself.

2. Breathe out as you return to the starting position.

Precautions

1. Refrain from swinging your body for momentum.

2. Ensure the band is securely in place before starting a pull-up.

3. Avoid locking your elbows when at the top of the pull-up.

4. Engage your core muscles throughout the exercise.
