How to do dumbbell step box reverse lunge

Coach's Tips

This exercise helps you concentrate on stretching muscles with the use of a step box.

Start Position

1. Begin by standing with your feet shoulder-width apart, holding a dumbbell in each hand.

2. Position a step box behind you.

Proper Form

1. Move one foot backward and lower your body into a lunge.

2. Keep your weight in your heels, ensuring that the knee of your front leg stays behind your toes.

3. Push through the heel of your front foot to return to the initial position.

Breathing Technique

1. Breathe out as you lower your body into the lunge.

2. Breathe in as you rise back to the starting position.

Precautions

1. Ensure that your core remains engaged throughout the exercise.

2. Maintain an upright torso and a straight back.

3. Avoid locking your knees when returning to the starting position.
