How to do incline close grip dumbbell bench press

Start Position

1. Begin seated on an inclined bench holding a dumbbell in each hand.

2. Place the dumbbells above your chest, palms facing each other.

3. Keep elbows close, with upper arms at a 45-degree angle to your torso.

4. Ensure your back is against the bench and your feet are planted on the floor.

Proper Form

1. Inhale while pressing the dumbbells upward by extending your arms.

2. Maintain elbows close as you press the weights.

3. Exhale upon reaching the top of the movement.

4. Pause briefly before slowly lowering the weights to starting position.

Breathing Technique

1. Inhale during the lowering phase and exhale while pressing up.

2. Maintain steady and controlled breathing throughout the exercise.

Precautions

1. Ensure your back remains flat against the bench and feet stay firmly planted.

2. Avoid locking elbows at the movement’s peak.

3. Do not overextend arms or lift weights too quickly.

4. Stop the exercise immediately if discomfort or pain occurs.
